Aircraft Recovery
Bergings Centrale Gooimeer (BCG) is the operational division of SC Logistics and Services, and is based in the Gooimeer industrial Estate of Naarden, Holland. BCG started by assisting recovery, crane and salvage companies with the operation of lifting bags on specific demand. Today, BCG has direct relationships with airlines, airports and insurance companies and is acting as prime contractor for aircraft recovery and transport of disabled aircraft. But BCG is not a one-man show!! Together with a small group of trustworthy experts, we collaborate closely to deal with accidents worldwide. 2 names need to be mentioned. Our partner in aircraft recovery is Royal SAAN, the well-known Dutch crane company, with an almost unlimited potential of heavy crane and towing capacity. The recovery experts of SAAN have a huge track record in aircraft recovery and will be hired in case of major recoveries elsewhere.

Our shared knowledge, our experiences and our working history contribute to our successful recovery operations. Please feel free to visit the impressive story of Royal SAAN at our "Link" page.

With these capacities and collaborations BCG is able to offer a very comprehensive, flexible and fast support in case of a recovery worldwide:

1. We know aircraft structures, so we know the difficulties ahead.
2. We have a network of cranes and towing back ups, around the corner in Amsterdam, in Europe and beyond.
3. We have adequate recovery equipment on hand, but in the worst-case scenario, we will be able to cope with this demand within a matter of hours. Our recovery kit is easily transportable and deployable all over the world.
4. We know how to transport the kit worldwide. We have excellent relations and preparations made with various airlines, express carriers and customs, not only at Amsterdam Airport, but also in Cologne, Liège and Brussels airport, which gives us a huge time-advantage.

Transport of disabled Aircraft

BCG also has a sufficient track record in transporting disabled aircraft, on behalf of owners, aircraft manufacturers, insurance etc. BCG coordinates all disassembly activities, prepares crates, containers and support equipment,  ensuring a damage free transport. Our worldwide activities often enable us to involve local subcontractors, which result in lower cost,  without affecting the quality of our services

Airport Services

Next to all our sales and operational activities, BCG offers support services, dedicated to airport recovery preparations and recovery tooling.

Our Aircraft Recovery Procedure Manual (ARPM) is being made at the specific airport, with the  objective to increase the ability of the airport management, to anticipate in case of an accident at this airport. Listings of (local) subcontractors are merged with an airport management response team with dedicated tasks and responsibilities, enabling to deal with an accident in an effective manner. Also the  specific characteristics of the airport, its facilities and environment are being included.

Airport Aquisition Services

BCG assists airports in the aquisition of taylor-made recovery systems. Not only our ‘SC Inflatables’ lifting systems, but a comprehensive kit is being presented and implemented on behalf of the airport management company. Customers include the airports of Bologna G. Marconi and Venezia Marco Polo.

Stand–by Contracts

Due to the intercontinental character of our operations, BCG Aircraft recoveries is not in the position to offer stand by contracts to airport management companies, which include a fixed response time of the availability of recovery assistance. Nevertheless stand by contracts are being offered, in collaboration with local partners, who is responsible for the initial follow-up
Together with the airport of Bologna, G. Marconi, Bologna, we are currently offering stand by contracts for recovery services for local regional airports in Italy.
Stand by contracts in other regions are presently in progress.
